Review

“I do, I will, I want, I wish, I love you. All of it, I’ll never forget.”

                                                                       ~ Brooklyn

This is my first book by Kahlen Aymes and what a wonderful book. It is so well written and the characters had me feeling. The beginning was a little slow for me and there were some actions I didn’t understand until the age of Brooklyn was revealed and it made more sense to me. I like angst in books but I prefer true love stories. This book had both. There is definitely angst in the beginning but the love between Brooklyn and Cade is so real and raw.

Brooklyn has gotten her first big break in the movie industry. She is staring opposite one of the hottest male actors right now. They are portraying the ultimate love story in screen while behind the screen they are trying to fight to not let it spill over to real life. Not because they don’t want to but because there are people and things that are blocking them. Brooklyn is a little naïve and young but there is a maturity about her that shows through. She has a good head on her shoulders but also has that vulnerability that comes with her age. She is a wonderful character that shows how much she cares for people. She worries about everyone else before herself. Is willing to let her happiness go just to keep from hurting other people.

Cade is the most wanted actor in Hollywood. He is young, hot and British. Not only is he an actor but he is also a musician. SWOON!! Cade is such an old soul. He is so sweet, caring, loving, and knows just what to say to make you swoon. He is everything Brooklyn needs in her life. He will fight for her and won’t take no for an answer. He shows how much he loves her from the beginning because of what he was willing to sacrifice for Brooklyn’s happiness.

This was such a wonderful sweet love story. I am almost scared of book 2 because these characters have drawn me into their love story and I don’t want anything else to rock their boat. On that note there is no way I won’t be reading book 2. There is a second book but I wouldn’t really classify the ending as a cliffhanger. Where the author ended book was a great point to end it. It left me wanting to know more about these young lovers but I wasn’t ready to throw my Kindle either.
