Review

Catching Carly was a great way to continue this series of standalones.  Although you don’t need to read Being Brooke first, I would highly recommend it. You will understand the dynamic of this group a lot better.

Carly is such a mess. She has resorted to online dating sites to try and find someone.  That wouldn’t be a bad thing if she could get more than dick pics and men who do not look like their pictures. Carly’s life in general is kind of stuck in neutral. She is in a job that was only supposed to be temporary, her two best friends are finally together and again her dating life is going nowhere but down the drain. She also happened to sleep with her best friend’s brother, but shhhh nobody is supposed to know. Let the chaos begin!

Zeke has been hurt. He no longer trusts women and just likes to sleep around. What’s the point of a relationship when it will just end because he doesn’t feel he will ever trust another woman again? I don’t blame him for his issues but they did frustrate me at some points. Zeke and Carly’s relationship/no-relationship is hilarious!! I found a new favorite word thanks to them: cockwomble. There two can get creative when it comes to getting on each other’s nerves.

This book had me laughing out loud and my husband giving me weird looks for it. I couldn’t put it down once I started. Nobody is write grandparent characters like Emma Hart. At one point I felt like my eyes needed bleached right along with the characters. This is a definitely must read.
