I love Kendall Ryan’s writing. This book is no exception. I liked the concept and the execution was great. The characters were likable and I found myself rooting for them.

Elle is trying to get over her stupid ex but having to spend a weekend with him and his new bimbo at her brother’s wedding isn’t helping. Insert her close friend and her plan to help Elle out by hiring Nic to be her date, but here is the catch Elle has no clue Nic was hired to do a job. I hate how down Elle was about herself because of someone else’s opinion but I love how she started to find herself and her worth throughout the book. Nic definitely helped with that but it came from within Elle.

Nic is really good at his job and he knows it. He has been an escort for 6 years and has made a name for himself around Chicago. I loved that even being an escort you could see his heart, it wasn’t all about sex. Nic’s conflict after meeting Elle was real. How does one give up everything he knows for someone he has just met? I felt bad for him but I loved how he was able to figure himself out and go after what he wanted.

This was a quick read that was well written with great characters. It also leads you into the next book which will be about Case and his best friend’s little sister.
