Mary’s life is in a tailspin right now. She is out of control and doesn’t know how to get back on track. She is hurt, lost and alone. She felt like a lost child who just doesn’t know where her life is going. She came across as immature to me at first. I enjoyed watching her grow.

Chris has been working hard to make his way up through the ranks at Tate & Cane. He has proven himself and made it to junior associate and now he has been given the opportunity to further his career even more. He will do anything to keep moving up within the company. I loved his ambition and drive. It was good to watch him mature.

Mary and Chris have great chemistry. What really made this book for me was the awesome secondary characters that the author introduced. Chris’ family was fantastic and the way Mary and Chris interacted with them was great.

Sarah is very ambitious and driven in her career. Her love life just took a big hit and instead of wallowing she decides to for once in her life be impulsive. That impulsive decision leads her to a one night stand with an extremely hot guy.  When Sarah finds out she is getting the promotion she has been working so hard for but has to share the position with a new guy, she doesn’t just roll over and accept it. She decides to try and land a big account on her own to prove she is capable of doing the job herself. I loved that she is a strong independent woman but she showed a vulnerable side of herself also.

Kyle is hot and he knows it. I loved his cocky attitude. He also has a sweet side of him that not too many people get to see. He has landed himself at Tate & Cane after leaving a job in Chicago and right in the path of his “wife”. I love to root for the a**hole and Kyle was definitely one but he also proved why he was perfect for Sarah.

Sarah and Kyle’s banter was great. Their conversations usually had me laughing. This novella was well written and the characters were all great!

Saylor Night is running away from her life in Seattle. She left a high paying, high profile job and is now working for Tate & Cane. On her first day of work she literally runs into this gorgeous looking guy, only to find out he is her new boss. Saylor is so intelligent and great at her job and a sweet girl all around. When it comes to men she seems to be a little jumpy. I think her last relationship made her wary, which I can understand.

Mason definitely made me mad while reading this book. He is definitely an a**hole. I liked that he made me mad though because that means I was so into the characters and the story that I felt those emotions. He made up for it and gained my love. He is a typical bachelor until he runs in to the right woman.

I love Kelly Elliott’s writing style and this novella was no exception. The characters and story had me engaged from the beginning and my only wish is that I could get more of them.

I loved how this author connected characters from some of her other stories into this story as well. I loved how she merged the two worlds and how they really came together. If you haven’t read the other books that James is in, you don’t have to but in my opinion they are great books so I would!

James is Noah Tate’s cousin and was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. His life revolves around money, women and partying. He loves his life. He wasn’t looking for anything more but then he saw Lindsay in a club and he knew he had to have her. He didn’t realize how permanent having her would end up being. I really loved that once James committed to the marriage he really committed to it. It was all or nothing with him and he was ready to do what needed to be done to keep Lindsay.

In that moment, everything became just the two of us, and I knew she had to be mine.”

                                                                                                         ~ James

Lindsay is a model but she really doesn’t seem happy. It is just all that she knows. She didn’t have a great life growing up and definitely wasn’t born with a silver spoon in her mouth. She is very cautious in who she dates because of the way she grew up but there was something about James that just drew her to him. I loved their instant attraction but also loved that they talked and got to know each other also.

These two have some issues to deal with and definitely some growing pains throughout the novella but I just loved both of them and especially loved them together.

Wow! These two characters really get the pages going with their sexual tension and banter. Nothing like a good old fashioned competition to get the blood flowing,

Amity Gallum and Carver Jones have been preparing their whole lives for the opportunity to take over their fathers’ business. They just went about it in different ways. While Carver decided to work within the business to learn from his father and his partner, Amity chose to step away from there and go out on her own and learn from other people, hoping to when the time was right bring back new fresh ideas. Both characters are hardworking and driven to making the business a success. It is their ways of going about it that have them head butting in the boardroom but that tension in the boardroom definitely helps heat up the bedroom when they finally make it there.

This book was such a fast read because I didn’t want to put it down. I loved all the characters and in true Adriana Locke fashion, the story was well written and made me want more.

Love a quick read with good characters, cute kids who steal the show, and some twists and turns? This novella is for you.

Laken is a sweet girl who loves rom coms and is currently living in her own version of “hell”. She is a nanny to the devil herself, the only good thing is the little boy she gets to spend her time with. She isn’t living the life she thought she would and is starting to feel more and more depressed that her life isn’t what she thought it would be. When an opportunity to get her foot in the door at Tate & Cane, she just knows she has to take it, even if it means doing a little deceiving of her own. Laken seems young in this book and a dreamer. I didn’t agree with what she did but I understand that sometimes you feel backed into a corner and when you see a way out you take it no matter the cost. I loved that Laken gained her backbone towards the end and did something I didn’t see coming!

Niall has sold himself to the devil. All he cares about is making his daughter’s life great. He is working for Tate & Cane and trying to provide the best for Sophie. I admired Niall for his strength and commitment to being a single dad. When his day of reckoning finally comes he spits out the first thing he can think of to get away from the situation. Now he has to figure out a way for his not so well thought out plan to work.

The story was well written but maybe a little slow for me. When I read a novella, I tend to like things a little faster pace but it was still a good story. Sophie and Preston stole the book for me! I loved them both.

Who doesn’t love a hot guy with a beard and a Scottish accent?!?! Well, you all can back off because Jasper is mine!

Mandi Beck is one of my favorite authors because her writing is enjoyable and her characters are unforgettable. Jasper and Fannin and their story is no exception.

Poor Fannin and her situation. I felt so bad for the crap she had to deal with form her family. She handled it for the most part with grace and maturity. I know I wouldn’t have. I have found through all of Mandi’s books at least one thing they have in common is a female character that you either want to be or want to be best friends with or possibly both (I guess you can be your own best friend lol). Fannin is a person I would love to be friends with and also I would love to have some of her attitude.

Jasper, man Jasper is another book boyfriend to add to the list form this author. He comes to Fannin’s rescue and doesn’t even realize the whole story. I loved his protectiveness of Fannin, especially once he heard her whole story and actually witnessed some of it himself. He is man’s man but with Fannin he had a softer side that was great to see. He could definitely win me over with whiskey and his tartan!

What a hot quick story! This was just a fun read that definitely was steamy too. Best friend’s little sister and Vegas, what could go wrong?

This book was a little different from the rest in the Kindle World because it was a little more erotic than the others. Then sex was extremely hot and the chemistry was off the charts.

It seemed like fate was intervening when Bradley and Lexi run into each other in the airport. Lexi is holding on to some residual anger from when she was younger but she seems to get over it pretty quickly when Bradley helps her out. Poor Lexi is having a hard time lately in the love department. I loved Lexi.

Bradley tries to stop himself but he just can’t. Lexi is too much of a temptation. I really like Bradley and how comfortable he was with himself and how that rubbed off on Lexi too. He had his jerk moments but he also had his sweet loving moments too.

Two great characters and we got to see a little more of Sterling. This story was a great addition to the Imperfect Love Kindle World.
