Review

I have to admit I was a little nervous about reading this book once I read that it was unlike the author’s other books. It also has a cliff hanger. I was wrong. The writing is extremely well done and the plot is interesting.

The book starts off very intense when Sela is thrown into pieces of a flashback when she sees a tattoo on a man on TV. Her reaction is strong and intense. What she decides to do after seeing one of the men she believes rasped her will shape her life not only in the present but also in the future. She had on 3 things on her mind, Infiltrate, Murder, Repeat until all 3 men are dead. Her first target is Jonathan Townsend, the man from TV. She wasn’t planning on Beckett North. Sela is a very complex character who had something horrific done to her when she was younger and has never truly been able to heal from it. She has lived her life under the shadow of the event and now she has come up with a plan to get her vengeance.

Beckett North has a lot on his plate. He seems like he has it all but people don’t know what is going on behind closed doors. I am really loving Beck’s character. He is brilliant, sexy, mature (especially for only being 28 years old) and strong. He wasn’t expecting Sela. Beck was a typical no commitment guy just out having fun. I really enjoyed watching him grow as a character.

I really need the next book Sugar Rush. I need to know what awaits Sela, Beck and JT. Then writing really kept me engaged and hooked on the story.
