Review

Grand Slam is a lot different from the first 2 books in this series. First while Travis being a baseball player is a big part of the story, baseball itself isn’t. This takes place during off season so the game is being played. Second, this book took on a more serious tone to it. It is Travis so it wasn’t all serious but it wasn’t as light hearted as you may expect with it being Travis’ story. It was a very well written story.

Travis is a player on and off the ball field.  His player ways come back to bite him in the ass though. He finally finds someone he wants to be more with but she won’t let him get past their business relationship. I won’t say what happens in the book but there are a lot of revelations that come throughout from both Travis and Saylor.

Saylor is a single mom who is trying to make the most of her and her daughter’s life. She is working hard, learning all she can about the PR business. One of her clients happens to be Travis. They have a little history together that is wrapped in a big secret. Saylor was very frustrating at times but after finding out what happened to her, I can understand why she was that way.

Heidi has brought to life another well written story with characters that are real.
