Review

Adriana Locke does it again. Another solid book from a great author. This is the start of what should be a fantastic series.

The characters both main and secondary will draw you into the story and keep your attention. I love stories about single parents and Ali is a wonderful single mother.

Ali may be one of my favorite female characters Adriana has written. She is very real and relatable. The things she says and thinks I could picture myself saying and thinking if I were in the same position. She puts Huxley above all else including herself. She isn’t overcome by all that is Barrett and she refuses to lose herself for a man. She is so strong and while she has flaws those are what make her such a wonderful heroine.

Barrett took a little time for me to warm up to him. He was overly cocky and used to getting his way when we first meet him. He quickly found a place in my heart when he realized his mistakes and tried to rectify them. He wasn’t too proud to seek out help when he needed it. The way he tried to protect Ali and Huxley and do everything he could to prove himself worthy of them was so sweet.

You may have been hearing something about #GetGraped, well you need to read this book to appreciate what getting graped means! Let me tell you, you WANT to get graped by Barrett.

Make sure you pick this book up so you can be introduced to not only Ali, Huxley and Barrett but the rest of the Landry’s and I can’t forget Lola!
