Another great book from one of my favorite authors. JEM has done it again. Another kickass heroine and a hot Hero!
Camille Logan is the daughter of one of the wealthiest men in not only London but the world. With that comes certain expectations. The press expects her to be the social butterfly, party girl, bimbo her modeling career dictates. Her father expects her to be her to be the obedient daughter. Her mother expects her to be perfect at all times. What most people don’t see if the real Camille. Camille has had some trouble in her past that she is still working on but she has turned her life around. She and her best friend have a new business they are trying to get off the ground while fighting the expectations of the industry they work in. Little does Camille realize that her life is about to change. Although she may resist at first, she will soon realize that fate has a different plan for her.
Jake is suffering from PTSD. He has experienced some horrible things in war and now that he is a civilian, he just can’t seem to forget them. All he has is his job, as one of the best security people in England, booze and faceless women to help him. He takes a job all too willing to shadow the “spoiled rich girl”. Until he meets her. Jake is fighting a lot of demons including himself but Camille becomes his light in the darkness.
This was filled with passion, mystery, suspense and fantastic characters. Jake and Camille are more than their surface shows and I loved learning about them. Jake is definitely a new BB to add to the list. JEM knows how to write a swoon worthy hero!
