Synopsis
One word.
Stay.
It was all he had to do. Instead, he got on that bus and took my heart with him.
That was seventeen years ago.
I moved on. Marriage. Kids. White picket fence. Everything I ever wanted, but my husband betrayed me and I was left once again.
Alone, penniless, and with two boys, I had no choice but to return to Tennessee. He wasn’t supposed to be there. I should’ve been safe. However, fate has a way of stepping in.
This time around, the tables are turned. It’s my decision. Second chances do exist, but I don’t know if we can repair what’s already been broken . . .

Review
“I needed you, Presley. I’ve always needed you. I’ll always need you.”
~ Zachary
WOW. AMAZING. I am still having trouble putting all my thoughts together about this book. It is an absolute MUST ONE CLICK AND READ IMMEDIATELY! This books gave me all the feels. It is so well written that you feel everything the characters are feeling. You are drawn into this epic second chance story where everything isn’t all sunshine and roses but it is real life and real life has bumps and bruises but when you find a love you will take all that just to get the good!
There was a point where I had to actually put the book down and walk away for a day because my emotions were so great. Corinne Michaels knows how to make words powerful. She knows how to shape them and use them to draw a person into the world she has created. She knows how to draw out the emotions of her readers.
This story is a second chance romance and if any person deserves happiness it is Presley! She has been through so much in her 30 some years and although she came out the other side stronger it took a while and some help from people who love her. It amazed me how two people could look back and see situations completely different. The quote below is so true.
“That’s the thing about young love in a small town-it never dies.”
~ Presley
All the characters in this book touched me in some way. The love and support that Presley’s family and friends showed her and her boys tugged at my heartstrings. They rallied around them and lifted them up when they needed them the most.
I am so excited to see what Corinne does with Wyatt and Trent’s stories!
EXCERPT
“Hey.” Zach peers at me as I shake off my thoughts. “I figured you’d be asleep.” He climbs the steps slowly as I get to my feet.
“I figured you’d be gone.”
I walk toward him, unsure of why he’s here. “I left for a bit, but wanted to come check on you.”
“Oh.”
He snickers. “I couldn’t sleep.”
“Me either.” He’s close enough that I can smell his cologne. Even after a long night, being in the woods, he smells like home.
I take another step.
Then another.
I’m so close I have to tilt my head to look into his eyes.
I breathe him in, feel his heat, and I can’t stop myself. I want him. I need him. I grip his neck and yank his mouth to mine. I kiss him. I kiss him and give in to everything I’ve been feeling. He doesn’t waste a second. His arms wrap around me, holding my body against his. My fingers grip his neck, keeping him exactly where I need him. This kiss is frantic, but God it feels good.
