Synopsis

Even when she won’t fight for us, I’ll go to war for her…

Inside the Octagon, I have no fear. I’m at home, in my element, inflicting pain onto men trained to hurt me just as badly. Making them submit, knocking them out, maiming them, because it’s them or me. And I choose them.

Outside the Octagon, my only weakness is a five-foot-two, classy as fuck woman that I’ve loved for most of my life. She’s the one that brings me to my knees, fills my arms, my heart, and one day soon, my bed. She makes me reckless. Volatile. I drink too much and try too hard to fuck my way out of feeling—all because of her.

Frankie De Rosa is my girl, my best friend. I haven’t earned her yet, but I won’t stand by and let anyone take her from me. She will be the greatest fight of my life, but she’s worth the battle.

Love hurts, but anything worth having does, right?

I’m Deacon “The Hitman” Love — Welcome to the Cage.

Review

“A lady in every sense of the word, but still wouldn’t hesitate to cut a bitch if need be or tell you to go fuck yourself. Ergo, ‘Classy as Fuck.’”

                                                                                               ~ Deacon

This quote describes Frankie perfectly. Frankie is high class but not afraid to stand up for herself. She is the Princess of the family and she is treated as such, but growing up the only girl amongst the group of men she did doesn’t leave room to be a pussy. She is strong, determined, loyal, loving, caring and a little naïve. She is surrounded by the perfect family that includes her father, his best friend, his 3 sons and her best friend Indie. Frankie is someone I would love to be friends with in real life. Frankie is also a scared little girl at times and that part of her just hit me hard. After everything that happens to her she is determined to get back to being herself but there are times that she just can’t handle it. Those times that we see make me hurt for her. I don’t know how I would be as strong as she is after everything.

Deacon…man do I love Deacon even with all of his faults. He is a real man. He is stupid, thinks with his little head a lot of the time but he knows who he loves and will fight for that love. He has always been there for Frankie even when he wasn’t physically. Their connection goes beyond anything and when things go down with Frankie it was heart wrenching to see everything from his point of view. The panic, the guilt eating at him, the determination and unwavering love. It all was almost too much when reading about it. Again I will say Deacon is not a perfect man but he knows when he has screwed up and he does anything he can to try and fix it.

This book made me feel. I felt a lot of different emotions and there were times that I wanted to throw my Kindle and scream and cry. There were times I didn’t think I could take another dirty word from Deacon without combusting. This book has it all and I cannot wait for the next book to come out. I NEED more Deacon and Frankie.
