This is the 5th book in the Sex and Sweet Tea Series. It is the story of our sweet baker Larkin and her bad boy biker Deacon Locke.

I think this is one of my favorite of the series. I have loved Larkin from the get go. The sweet baker who is one half of the town’s twins. She is so real; she is sassy, sweet, lovable and very relatable. She is beautiful but also has a self doubt side of her. She wishes for her own identity while still wanting to be a part of her twin. She shows this when she cuts her hair and she shows this when she falls for someone so different from her twin’s significant other.  I love Larkin’s sense of family and how she is so close with them and how she wants that for everyone. Her empathy and ability to love are some of her best qualities. She and Deacon are different but as you read you come to find out they are a lot more alike.

Deacon is a wanderer. He likes to travel and doesn’t stay in one place for too long. Deacon is a complex guy. He didn’t have the worst childhood but he also didn’t have the greatest. He has never been one to settle down but seeing him start to fall for Larkin and find reason to stray in Whynot was great. I love how Larkin’s family accepted him from the get go and took them into their fold, especially Pap.

I am going to miss the town of Whynot, NC and the people who live there. This journey starting with Trixie and ending with Larkin was a wonderful one. This is a series of books I know I will be visiting over and over again.
